Delete your ScreenRehab account

This page explains how to delete your account in ScreenRehab, the Android app developed by ONDU d.o.o., and what happens to your data.

Option 1: in the app (fastest)

  1. Open ScreenRehab and sign in.
  2. Tap the Settings tab in the bottom bar.
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Option 2: by email

If you no longer have the app installed, email us from the address you used to sign up. Tell us you want your ScreenRehab account deleted. We may ask you to confirm you own the account, then delete it within 30 days, usually much sooner, and confirm by email.

Subscriptions are separate. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in the Google Play Store under Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. If you pay for your buddy, their access ends when your subscription period ends.

What is deleted

  • Your profile: display name, email address and sign-in credentials
  • Your buddy connection. It is also removed from your buddy’s account.
  • The apps you chose to manage and their daily limits
  • Unlock and limit requests you sent, and temporary unlocks
  • Your tasks, notifications and invite codes
  • Your commitment answers: reasons, pledge and screen-time estimate
  • Your subscription status record in our database

What is kept, and for how long

  • Backups: deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten. [CONFIRM: backup retention]
  • Requests your buddy sent to you are part of your buddy’s account and stay until they delete them or their account. After deletion they are no longer linked to any profile of yours.
  • Accounting records for subscription payments are kept as long as Slovenian law requires. [CONFIRM: period] Google keeps its own purchase records under the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Emails you sent to support are kept for up to 2 years, unless you ask us to delete them.

Delete some data, keep the account

You can remove individual pieces of data without closing your account. Unlink your buddy, remove app limits and delete tasks in the app, or email us to delete specific data, such as old requests.
